Baby stuff

We have been busy doing baby things, but there is a long way to go. What color crib? Do we want a themed nursery? There are so many options out there. Recently Ryan and I went to Babies-R-Us to start a registry. Needless to say Ryan had control of the scan gun, so there might be some goofy things on that registry. It was a fun time but a bit overwhelming.

Life of a pregnant chick

As July is coming to an end... so is my morning evening sickness. Hope I'm not speaking too soon, but I have been feeling a lot better the last 2 weeks.  I have even gained about 3-4lbs.  I will be posting new pictures soon of the belly (though, I don't think it has changed a whole lot).  Here is what The Gehrke's have been up too this past month. 

Unfortunately a lot of couch laying... but this is getting less.

We have been at the pool almost every weekend.  It doesn't rain here and it's 105 degrees.  So you are either at the pool or inside with AC on high. Overall, we still love Texas!  I can deal with 105 if there are a couple of 70's in December. 



Bun in the oven

Most of you all know by now... Ryan and I are expecting our first child.  It has taken me awhile to write this because I have not been feeling very well.  It all started about the 8th week and has escalated from there.  I am sick ALL day.. but mostly morning and night.  Trying to keep food down morning and night is a hard job.  I am using "sea bands" and Zofran on a daily basis. 

Here is our first ultrasound which was taken at about 7 1/2 weeks.

We are both VERY excited! My due date is December 28th.

Food has become a touchy subject for me.  I used to LOVE to eat.. everything and all the time.  Now its whatever I think I can keep down. 

My most commonly eaten foods:

Cinnamon Raisin toast

Lucky Charms

Mac-n-cheese

Banana's

Instant Carnation breakfast

Blue berry waffle's

I know it isn't the healthiest list of foods... but its the only thing that's working now.

We will keep you updated.. next OB appointment - June 20th.

 

The move...

It's official, I now live in Dallas, Texas (really Farmers Branch, but it's only 5 mins from Dallas)

My sister made the 20hr trip with me in my packed to the brim Subaru. We had a dresser, large wicker hamper, my extra large pink suit case, 2 dogs and some odds and ends. Here's what it looked like when we left Pennsylvania.







And the dogs had a little bit of room too...





It was a long drive. The first day 10 hours till we were in Nashville for the night. We even found a huge park for the doggies!

... Now let the unpacking and organizing begin. I start my new job on Monday, more on that later!

Visit to Dallas.

Just got off the plane from Dallas! Lots of unpacking was done... got a new sofa and dresser. Had an interview and even got to lay by the pool for 2 hours. Now I'm exhausted! Ryan is doing well and really enjoying his new job!
