St. Patricks Day 2013

We were in Dallas for the annual Greenville Ave. St. Patrick's Day parade. Last year Kinley was only 3 months and slept through most of it. This year she enjoyed every minute of it with family and friends.

Decorating the wagon for the parade with Aunt Morgan

Here she is with grandma Ju-Ju watching the parade with lots of dogs.

Our morning

Here Kinley is 14 1/2 months. She is sleeping through the night. Usually goes to sleep 7:30-8:00 and wakes up around 6:30-7:00.
She loves to be outside and likes to pick up acorns.

She can sign the words: milk, water, eat, more

She is starting to say the words: ball, apple, dog, cheese, banana.

Brushing her teeth and looking out her window for the dogs. This is how we start our morning.

Loves to run around without clothes on!

Watching tv for about 5 minutes. That is as long as she will sit still.

She gets into the pots and pans, carries the lids around.

Helps mom to feed the dogs

... Then it's off to school!!

DIY: Valentines gift for Kinley's classmates

Pinterest makes me want to do everything I see on there. For Valentines day we decided to make a gift the kids could use instead of any type of candy (especially at their age).

We used 2 boxes of crayons and broke them into pieces (1/2-1 inch pieces).
* my best friend Kaleena was in town and helped us with this project*

We them put them in a silicone heart mold I purchased at Michaels.

We baked at about 200 for 10-15 mins. I checked them every 5 minutes. Then let cool for about 30 minutes.

Here is the finished product. Found Valentine bags in the dollar section at Target. Used double sticky tape, which didn't hold the crayon. So we ended up using a non toxic glue and glued them to a piece of thick paper. Back of the card said " you color my world. Love, Kinley"

They were a big hit and so easy to make! We even saved a few to have at home when coloring.
